8 cups water
4 lbs sugar
grated rind of 3 lemons
juice of 5 lemons
2 oz tartaric acid (get at the chemist)
2 oz citric acid (get at the chemis)

Dissolve the sugar in the boiling water and turn off the heat.  Add the rest of the ingredients and stir thoroughly.  Let it cool and bottle it.  It keeps indefinately.  Dilute to taste.  Delicious.
